Nearly one-third of all women in the globe suffer from polycystic ovarian disease. Lifestyle modifications and weight loss are the first treatments doctors recommend for PCOS, and they often work well.  Turn towards medications only after consulting your doctor and if lifestyle changes don't bring any difference. In this article, we will know about diet changes we need to adopt to bring relief to PCOD, and PCOS symptoms in detail.

The food items that must be included in your diet:-

  • Foods that are unrefined and natural
  • Fishes with high Omega fatty acids, such as salmon, and tuna. or vegetarians can opt for flax seeds.
  • Leafy vegetables such as kale, spinach, and broccoli.
  • Dark red fruit like crimson grapes, blueberries, blackberries, and cherries
  • Healthy fats like olive oil, avocados, coconuts, and  nuts, such as pine nuts, walnuts, almonds, and pistachios
  • Spices, such as turmeric and cinnamon
  • Dark chocolate in moderation

Avoid these foods to delete completely from your diet:-

Patients with PCOD/PCOS should avoid items that are already regarded as unhealthy in general. Here are a few examples:

  • Refined carbohydrate sources include cakes, pastries, and white bread.
  • Fried food and fast food such as pizza and burgers
  • Carbonated beverages, such as sodas and energy drinks. They are high in sugar.

  •  Strict no to starchy and sugary meals.

The best diet for PCOS is the one that:

  • Works for you.
